Kakashi had come face to face with the giant vortex jutsu, and even with his Sharingan, it was too late to do anything about it while he was mid-air.
"I'm about to be crushed by this jutsu!" Kakashi yelled, feeling helpless in his current situation.
"Water style, water wall!" A handful of voices yelled, surprising Kakashi as a huge blast of water burst up to protect him, clashing with the vortex and allowing him to land safely onto the ground below, taking a breathe in order to calm down.
Kakashi turned around to see four ninja from the hidden Waterfall arrive, landing next to him.
"Looks like we got here just in time." One of them said.
"Yeah... Thanks." Kakashi said, nodding his head before he turned his attention back toward Zabuza.
"Where did he go?" Kakashi asked, seeing that Zabuza had disappeared, scanning the area with his Sharingan.
"Looks like he ran for it." One of the Waterfall ninja said, also not being able to see or sense him.
"Darn, it..." Kakashi said, clearly angry before he spotted the blood on his sleeve.
"He won't get far with an injury like that," Kakashi said, coming up with an idea.
"We can't track him." Another of the Waterfall ninja said, looking at Kakashi.
"No... But I can." Kakashi then said, biting his thumb before he made the hand signs.
"Summoning jutsu!"
Meanwhile...
Hisen and the other Waterfall and Leaf ninja stood face-to-face with Kakuzu, all of them staring him down feeling on edge at the sight of the strange creature that had appeared from his body.
"I guess it's time to see if you really are immortal after all," Hisen said, frowning hard at Kakuzu with an intimidating look.
"I guess so," He replied not seeming bothered.
With that Hisen wasted no time at all as he charged in, attacking Kakuzu head-on with an axe kick aimed at the top of his skull.
Kakuzu was quick to block the attack, instead gripping Hisen by his ankle and tossing him through the air toward a tree, watching his back crack against its trunk before bursting into a water clone.
"A clone!" Kakuzu yelled, activating his earth-style jutsu to make his body hard, allowing him to deflect a kunai slash with his free hand, that would have otherwise caught his throat.
Hisen watched as the kunai shattered into pieces after colliding with Kakuzu, taking advantage of the sudden distraction to flip back into a handspring and get clear of him.
"Now, water style, water dragon jutsu!" two members of the Waterfall ninja shouted, attacking with a combined water dragon, taking advantage of the large body of water that had flooded the forest thanks to Zabuza and backing their leader up.
Kakuzu quickly burst into a sprint as he clasped his hands together making a single-hand sign as both of the water dragons rushed toward him with their fangs bore.
"Wind style, pressure damage!" Kakuzu said, allowing his arm to suddenly merge into one of the masked creatures before shooting a huge wind style out of its mouth at the water dragons to counter them.
"Look out!" Iseto yelled, seeing the huge amount of chakra about to be unleashed with his Sharingan.
The wind jutsu blasted right through both water dragons, heading toward Hisen and the others at blinding speed.
"Combined water wall!" The waterfall ninja yelled again, working together to stop Kakuzu's jutsu, proving strong enough to stop it in its tracks.
"Darn it, I won't be able to do anything if they keep working together like that. I need to separate them." Kakuzu said, skidding to a halt before he ripped his Akatsuki cloak off.
"This ought to keep you busy!" Kakuzu said, clasping his hands together before his body started to bulge and rip apart.
"What on Earth is that?" One of the Waterfall ninja said.
The others were also horrified as they watched what was happening, only to see four of the creatures with masks finally burst free of his body before Kakuzu stitched himself back together.
"He's a monster..."
"No. He's human like the rest of us." Hisen said, not allowing himself to be intimidated like the others.
"Now then, shall we continue," Kakuzu said, standing to his full height next to his masked beasts.
"Look out, they are about to attack!" Hisen said, knowing it was going to be bad.
Suddenly all four of the masked beasts flew into the air, shooting fire, water, wind and lighting-style jutsu toward the formation of Leaf and Waterfall ninja, forcing them all to do what they could to either avoid or block the attacks.
"Look out!"
"Arghh!"
The screams and yells of combat burst out as the ninja tried to counterattack. However, it was no use as the quality of jutsu was too strong for them to deal with.
"What are these things!" Iseto yelled, jumping over a bolt of lightning that would have ripped him clean in half.
"Fireball jutsu!" He yelled, shooting the fire style from his mouth, only to watch the masked beast counter it with a blast of water before it headed towards him.
"Oh crap!" Iseto yelled, quickly dashing off before jumping and flipping out of the way of more concentrated blasts of water, each taking out whatever they made contact with.
"I don't know what jutsu that is, but I bet if I stop you they will die too!" Hisen shouted, charging in toward Kakuzu as he clasped his hands together.
"Water style, high-pressure burst!" Hisen yelled, suddenly blasting himself toward Kakuzu using some of the water that was on the ground.
Hisen hit Kakuzu hard in the centre of his chest and thrust a kunai into his heart between the 3rd and 4th rib before he crushed him into the ground, breaking the earth below them.
However, kakuzu's body burst into water taking Hisen by surprise before Kakuzu appeared from a puddle a little further from him.
"Pressure wave!" Hisen yelled, suddenly shooting a high-pressure blast of water from his mouth.
"Water wall!" kakuzu said, crossing his fingers as he raised a wall of water to protect himself from the blast, allowing the water wall to absorb the impact.
Hisen watched as Kakuzu's hand burst through the water wall before it gripped him around the throat, having extended from his body while still attached thanks to his strange jutsu.
"It was your father and the elders that banished me from the village," Kakuzu said as he dragged Hisen across the ground to him, holding him up in the air so that his feet couldn't touch the floor.
"You killed them..." Hisen said, struggling to breathe.
"Yes... And now, I'm going to kill you." Kakuzu said, tightening his grip around Hisen's throat while his masked beasts wreaked havoc around them, unleashing jutsu after jutsu reaping destruction on all they hit.
"Over my dead body." Hisen said, struggling to get the words out before he burst into water in Kakuzu's clutches, this time taking him by surprise.
"Water spear!" Hisen yelled, thrusting his hand that was encased in a sharp layer of water through Kakuzu's back right through his chest.
"Arghh!" Kakuzu yelled, not having expected the attack at all.
"How... I didn't even sense you." He said, trying to turn his head to look at Hisen.
"A lot has changed since I was a boy," Hisen said, pulling his hand out of Kakuzu's chest as he let his body drop to the ground.
"That takes care of you, traitor," Hisen said, flicking the blood off of his hand, allowing him to turn his attention to what was happening around him and the others.
Meanwhile, the other Waterfall and Leaf ninja were busy fighting for their lives against Kakuzu's monsters, each of them trying their best to trap one of the beasts and take it down together. Although, that was proving easier said than done.
Iseto had managed to evade the water mask for some time now, taking cover through the trees as he jumped from branch to branch, using his Sharingan ability to predict each attack and act accordingly.
"Oh shit!" He yelled, using his Sharingan again to see an incoming attack, being able to adapt to it much quicker than his fellow chunin, unfortunately for them as one of them was hit by the water blast, ripping right through his body leaving nothing left of the poor boy.
I need to trap it in place so it can't attack with any of its jutsu. Iseto said to himself, quickly coming up with a plan as he reached into his weapon bag and pulled out a folded-up demon shuriken and some wire.
"I have a plan!" Iseto shouted to two other Leaf ninja, who had also been on the run from the creature.
"But I need you to draw it off me for a minuet." He then said, getting a frown from one of the others.
"Of course, trust the Uchiha to use us as cannon fodder." One of them said.
"What choice do we have, it's not like you have a plan to deal with it?" The other said, standing up as he nodded his head.
"I'm in, tell me what you need."
The water mask was flying through the trees as it looked for Iseto and the others, soon finding them as it blasted a couple of rounds at them, missing each of them before pushing the other two into a dead end.
"Here we go!" Iseto yelled, suddenly appearing from above the thing, landing on its back as he lassoed the wire around its neck and threw the demon shuriken.
"Now!" He yelled, jumping off of its back as it began to struggle, shooting blasts of water in every direction as it tried to get free.
"I hope this works!" One of the other Leaf ninja said as the demon shuriken hit the tree next to them, allowing them to grab the wire and pull, tugging the creature off balance and down through the air past Iseto.
"Here we go!" Iseto said, making a dragon hand sign as he concentrated his chakra.
"Fire style, giant fireball jutsu!" Iseto roared, unleashing as much chakra as he could into a massive fireball aimed right towards the masked creature.
"Now!" Both of the Leaf ninja shouted as they quickly jumped out of the way, watching as the masked monster crashed into the ground and then as the fireball crashed into it, exploding on impact, causing the creature to shriek in pain before it melted in the flames.
"Hold the line!" One of the Waterfall ninja shouted, watching as the wind and fire masked monsters joined together opening their mouths to get ready to unleash a powerful combined jutsu.
The lightning mask was also still blasting jutsu from the sky, doing a good job at keeping the units scattered from one another, stopping them from working together as Kakuzu had intended.
However, what he had not intended was to be taken by surprise by Hisen, being forced to withdraw his lightning-style mask back to his body so that he would be able to survive the damage.
Hisen watched as the lightning-style monster headed his way, quickly jumping back as he got ready to counter its jutsu attack.
"Wait, what's it doing?" He asked, watching as it suddenly dropped onto Kakuzu's body, merging with him before they became one.
"No way!" Hisen said, not realising that as long as those masked creatures were alive, Kakuzu could not be killed.
"You may have caught me off guard once, but that won't happen again!" Kakuzu yelled, letting his body burst out as his limbs grew longer and his body seemed to come undone with stitches and wire all over.
"This time I won't go easy on you, little Hisen!" Kakuzu said in a demonic tone, looking even more like a monster than before.
Hisen watched in disgust, clenching his fists tight getting ready for the next fight.
"He really is a monster... A monster that I will slay!"
