Candis began crying, "Dad, all you ever care about is Torren, Torren, Torren. I am fed up, only hearing about Torren. We are your children, too."
Carl stood up, seeing how angry his Dad was. When Candis shouted, Carl said, "Candis, take your husband and go to your room now."
"I hate you all," Candis shouted.
"Then take what belongs to you and leave, if that's what you want." Train responds immediately, unable to control his rage.
"Dad, please let us not say things hastily before we have to regret." Carl tries to calm his Dad and the others around the table.
"Torren is responsible for all of this. I hate him."Candis cried out, wiping the tears away with the back of her hand.
"Candis, will you just shut your mouth and go to your room?" Carl pleaded.
"I am not shutting my mouth anymore. Dad needs to know he only cares about Torren, and we are counted as dung in this house."
Lasandra and Careen held Train's hand, "Dad, let us take a walk. " Careen pleaded with him.
Hearing Jeff chuckle, Lasandra's anger boils, unable to hold back, she said, "You could keep that smug look for yourself. I am sleeping alone tonight, you hear me."
Jeff exclaimed without a slight bit of concern, "But honey, I didn't say anything?"
Looking him in the eye, she knows him better than himself. But replies without blinking, "You don't have to, Jeff, your face is speaking its own language."
Carl notices Travis smiling as Lasandra and Careen walk Dad out. "This has been your plan all along? I should have known, but never mind, it will surely backfire, and then we will see whose laughing." As Carl directed his words to Travis.
Turning to Jeff, he said out loud for the three of them, "You three plot this together and feel you are smart, well, I have news for you all, I will support Dad's decision, and if you all continue this way, I will personally throw you out of the house."
"You can't do that?" Candis replies.
Try me, little Sister, and then you will see if I am joking, and Lasandra is right, Jeff, you can take that smug look off your face. Because when you are sleeping by yourself. I want you to smile and tap yourself on your shoulder and say, What a good boy I am, because I know she is very serious."
"She is not, and I am not worried."
"Oh, big brother, we shall see who is right." Signalling Louise to clear the table, "I am sorry your dinner is ruined."
"Oh, no, Third Master, it's not, they will have to eat it tomorrow or another day, I am not throwing it away. I am ashamed of you three, thank God our guest didn't come down for dinner."
"Mrs Louise, you are just the cook, so mind your business."
Jeff and Travis only hear the smack, seeing Candis hold her face. "Being the youngest adult in the house, you must learn to respect your elders. My wife and sister in law saved you earlier, but your tongue is unruly."
Candis couldn't contain her outburst, "You will pay for that?"
"I might, but not tonight. I don't regret it one bit. If Dad had not speared you so many times, when you lost control, today you would have learned to respect your elders." Walking out of the room, leaving the three of them standing sulking. I search out Careen and the others.
Angry with Jeff and Candis for their dirty attitude, 'haven't they realised that it is our Mother who has brought this upon Torren. Why can't they understand and see for themselves that when he is well, he treats us with love? Their skull is so hard to comprehend that Torren is the sole heir of this property. From what Dad said, he inherited it from his grandparents.
We are fortunate to be living in such luxury and enjoying the benefits of his blessing.'
Seeing the three of them walking up the driveway, calling out to Dad, "Are you all right, Dad?"
"I am good, my Son."
"Dad, I am so sorry for the way they have spoken to you."
"It's not your fault, Son, but now I know how they are thinking."
Stepping out of his room for eight, knowing breakfast is around ten past. Stopping at her door, Torren knocked, then turned the handle.
Seeing her bed straightened out and she was not in, 'Maybe she has already gone down for breakfast.'
Noticing the family at the breakfast table already eating breakfast.
Torren sit quietly, wondering, 'Where is Shawney?' Noticing how silent everyone was, he thought as he viewed each face. 'They all seem caught up in their own little world, or has something happened among them after he left the table last night?'
When Mrs Louise brought his breakfast, or he thought she was bringing his breakfast, she said.
"Eldest Master, our guest said she will see you later this evening. She left this note early this morning."
Torren ask politely, "Mrs Louise, are you saying that our guest isn't home?"
"I am afraid so, Eldest Sir."
Sitting opposite him, Train keeps observing how he twitches his lips a few times before bending his head. 'He knew that Torren was trying to control his anger, which is good.
Before, he would have already shoved the chair aside and got off the table with such haste.
When Carl asks, "Aye buddy, what time you want to go by the clinic?"
Hearing him respond, so calmly, "Any time you are ready, I will be waiting at the front."
Carl touches Careen's hand and whispers, "Careen, honey, I am going with Dad to visit the factory. Do you want me to drop a message at your department?"
