It did not take long for the place where Feng Li and the others were standing to start getting populated by numerous people. Most of these people were locals to Emerald City who had either come to take part in the selection, while sme had only come to cheer fr the ones they support. After all, one needed the qualification; not just anyone can take part in this event.
"Isn't that the Blood Rain Sect members arriving?" One of the sharpest observers was keen enough to spot a carriage that had the sect's insignia on top of it, emitting the terrifying might of a late-stage nascent soul master's decree. This was none other than the sect sect matser's decree.
"What a show-off; it's as if coming here low-key would damage their reputation!" Feng Xue was not amazed by the show of power being displayed by the Blood Rain Sect.
"Only the weak seek to gain the validation of others; ignore them, my little sister." Feng Li said to Feng Xue with a smile on his face.
Just hearing him refer to her as his little sister made her blush but also feel a certain warmth in her heart at this moment. She couldn't help but gaze at where the Tiger Spirit Beast was resting, with the people on top of it seated in a meditative pose as though everyone around them was nothing but smoke.

This place looked heavenly, with tall hills and mountains everywhere, as the qi here was way stronger than the one found in Emerald City. On one of the peaks of a mountain emerged a young man who looked a little over 20 years of age. He had long black hair that was tied with a ribbon that lay back smoothly on his back. His face looked very handsome, with a smile that could make any woman bewitched just looking at him.
He was on a flying sword, slicing across the air with a smile on his face as he was moving at a speed that was so fast that even a rank seven nascent soul master like Feng Tian would be left in the dark.
Suddenly, his face changed when he received a message transmission on his communication talisman.
"Feng Li?"
He then changed direction and sped towards the North.

It was now almost afternoon, and the sun was already hanging in the middle of the sky. Everyone was getting restless now, since all of the participants in the event had arrived; what was left were the top sects, and even at this time just two had arrived.
" I'm curious to know how many top sects are going to be here for the selection today, and also how many days is this going to take?"
So many people were in the dark and were already asking questions that no one knew the answer to. Truth be told, although they knew that today was going to be a selection day where a few geniuses were going to be selected to join the top sects, no one really knew how this was going to be done.
Rumble! Rumble!
Just as everyone was getting restless, large rumbling sounds could be heard from the distance as the air itself was sliced into a crack, and a few spirit beasts, some large and small, appeared with powerful practioners sitted onto ooking at everyone else arrogantly as though coming here was already doing them a favor.
"Damn, they look so cool!" Everyone was amazed by the show of power these people had displayed with their entrance.
"How pathetic." The mysterious elder's voice could be heard in Feng Li's ear as well.
"They have to, since they are the top sects of this region, you know." Feng Li responded to the mysterious elder. Gazing at these people, he could feel the powerful auras of individuals who were at the peak of nascent soul, and even a few who were beyond that!
"Some of these guys could single-handedly flatten this entire city with just a raise of their palm!" Feng Li felt the pressure from these people.
"The strongest here should be that blue-robed middle-aged man; he is an early rank one Mortal Transcending Realm!" The mysterious elder said with a laugh.
The new arrivals soon separated themselves into different groups, each having their own sectorial insignia, while some had special robes representing their clans and families. They were among the top sects and families in the entirety of the Guan Region.
Looking at all these powerful groups, Feng Li could see different names for them.
Supreme Sword Sect!
Red Phoenix Sect!
Black Jade Sect!
Purple Blossom Sect!
Golden Sun Academy!
Yun Family and a few more!
These names alone were some of the most powerful sects and families that Feng Li had read about back then, when he had gone to the library to research this world. He had learnt that the most powerful sect in the Guan region was the Myriad Dao Sect, followed by the Golden Sun Academy; right after this was the Purple Blossom Sect, which was a sect that only took in females!
Not all of the most powerful sects that he had read about had come to make a selection from what he could see in the group of people. He remembered that Mei Yao had said that the Myriad Dao Sect would swing in and make a selection, but he could not see their presence at all cause he could not recognise their supreme insignia of a golden thunder!
"Was she mistaken, maybe?" He kept asking himself this question, but after looking around for Mei Yao, he couldn't even spot a shadow of her in the crowd of the locals. It seemed like since that day, she had disappeared completely. If she was around, he could most definitely have sensed her unique aura.
"Hey, what have you been thinking about? I can tell you have a lot on your mind, big brother Feng." Feng Xue was very observant when it came to the changes in Feng Li's face.
"Nothing much, I was wondering if the Myriad Dao Sect is going to arrive, or if they did not see the need to come to such a corner of the world in the first place." He said with a smile on his face.
He would very much want to join that sect, but he would not force it if they did not show up. He did not even know how to get to their gates, even if he wanted to go there.
"Listen up! As you can see, we have come from far to this place today for the sole purpose of picking up a few talented juniors who have what it takes to climb up and join some of these powerful sects and families you see before you. I know most of you are curious to know what method we are going to use to achieve this. Well, we are going to test your age, your cultivation level, and then your talent level. Then one last test will be done, after which you will be qualified to travel with us, and when we arrive in the central region, you will participate in a competition with other selectees to qualify for selection by a sect. The top ones will be selected directly by these sects."
The entire crowd was silent when the man in blue robes finished his speech about how the selection process was going to be done. Most of them were ready to go through several rounds of combat competition so that they could show these large sects how much of a badass they are. But now it seems like these people had their own way already planned. Indeed, trying to understand top sects was not going to be an easy thing!
"Those who will be taking part in this selection, step forward and register your real name right now." The blue-robed man declared, his voice filled with a commanding aura.
