Rean didn't want to trigger any type of alarm on his way down, so he moved very slowly and cautiously. After all, he didn't have Sister Orb's array detection and hacking abilities anymore. Without her assistance, even a seemingly harmless step could potentially trigger some hidden array he wasn't aware of.
Initially, Rean didn't mind his slow pace if it meant he was keeping himself safe. There was no reason to rush when he had no idea what kind of dangers might be waiting for him below. However, the longer he kept going down, the further away he felt he was from the bottom. The ceiling above had already disappeared into the darkness, but the bottom still hadn't revealed itself.
'I probably moved at least three or four kilometers down already,' he thought to himself. 'I still haven't seen a single array in this place, regardless of whether it was meant for protection, detection, or even killing. Could it be that this place has no arrays whatsoever?'
