I arrive to my dorm in school already paid for by the King. I chose the dorm just in case someone would try to attack me they would have to go through the school. Inside is a small living room with a kitchen in the back, it looks like there was two rooms on the right and left. I go knock on the door on the left, a muscular tanned man came out.
"Hey are you the new roommate?" He sounded like he had an accent to him
"Yes, I just transfered over today I might need help learning the rooms in the Academy." I shook his hand while talking.
"Okay I can show you around class is going to start soon anyways, my name is Francis and I'm a Water Elemental. Also put on your robe before you go out, it shows your rank, in order to get your rank all you have to do is go to the office and use a machine to get it."
"Ok, my name is Dean and I'm an Earth Elemental." We walked the hallways and he pointed out the different rooms, currently we were in the middle dorms. In the west wing are the Water, Earth, Fire, and Air classrooms. The right wing had the Light and Darkness classes with the cafeteria, in the middle was a training room that had many different magical equipment for different scenarios. In the back of the training room is the Doctors office and boarding for teachers.
Well you know the way now I'll see you whenever you get back to the Dorms, class starts in 5 minutes so you might wanna hurry, he turned into his classroom then went and talked with some other students. I walk down the hall to the Earth Elemental class and sit down on the ground.
"My name is Phillip I'll be your Earth instructor today we will work on the basics such as energy control and for the advanced people we can work on moving Earth around."
He walked around going to everyone asking whether they had done anything most sayed no yet a few people said they can move their energy around and some earth. When he came to me he asked, "Hello there...",he looked at the roster,"Dean what can you do with the energy.
"Well I can move it around and I am able to coerce the Earth to move. As of right now I can move most rock and some boulders also I can infuse my energy to make a weapon, I learned from my village Mage." Phillip seemed pretty surprised then wrote something down on a slip and gave it to me.
"This is to go to advanced learning for Earth Elementals just go next door your next training is in forty five minutes." I guess I'll have to do a class each 45 minutes a day and for seven hours a day. I will go Darkness, then Earth, then Fire, then Water, then to the cafeteria, after that its Light, and last is Air. The last 45 minutes are for using the training room, also the rest of your day is free time to go to the library or train more if you choose so. If you get a teacher to sign a slip you can skip class or go training.
I walk over to the Darkness class and sit down, I meet the instructor he was talking about the same thing with energy. He started talking about how to use the Darkness to our will, he turned off a sort of switch and the room started to go dark. First we used the Darkness to infuse our eyes which hurt at first but doing so started to let us see in the dark little by little.
Next class I walk to the advanced Earth class, I work outside using the Earth in the ground. I made a sword and try to compress it down, though it is getting heavier so I guess I'll have to start working out or upgrading my rank.
After that was Fire class there was quite a big bonfire in the middle of the room we try to use the fire outside our body and I even try to use the fire to make a weapon. The hard part was keeping the fire contained, it was trying to expand and grow bigger. One girl actually let the fire expand until it grew into a giant ball of fire then the Teacher sucked the the students fire into a ball. He then rushed to her, the students face was pale and she looked drained. The teacher told us to not move until he came back. After he came back class was a lot more quiet and no one tried to make a mistake after that.
Water class was a weird one there was a deep puddle in the class, and the teacher was teaching us to use the water to make items or learning to be creative. I use the water to create a shield around me, it was easier to move and utilize the energy now that I've learned Earth. After class I felt a prickling sensation and a strong surge of energy. I must've ranked up again I wonder what my rank will be now. Over the months I've felt the sensation occur randomly so I'm guessing I'm getting higher in the levels.
I went to the Cafeteria afterwards, they were serving fried chicken, green beans, and mashed potatoes with pie as desert. I sat down at a table and people started coming in sitting down around.
"Haha hey Dean it was fascinating how you built a shield around yourself with water."
"What do you mean he was trying to use fire to make weapons."
Eventually when everyone stopped talking about me they looked at me wondering what happened. I told them, "I'm trying to learn everything I am working with the King so I can learn all the classes." Everyone looked at me weirdly but didn't say anything else and walked away. I told them because if i kept lying people would start calling me out or wonder why I do so.
I was sitting by myself for a little bit then threw away my tray. Eventually the day went by I learned to use light to make a lazer or a flash of light. Using air was an odd one because you can't really see it so I just tried to make objects float or pushing objects with it.
The training room is different there were practice areas that used an Elemental Crystal. It was basically a crystal filled with the elemental energy, when activated it would harness the elements like creating a pool of water or filling a room with rocks. As I am looking at the Elemental Crystals someone walks up behind me.
"Hey newbie people tell me you are going to all the classes and am working for the King, I say that's a lie." He was a man that had a very punchable face and an even more annoying smirk.
"I don't have to prove anything to you." I honestly didn't want to make my secret even more known. Fighting was permitted in the training areas as long as both people agree to it. There was always a teacher on duty making sure if anything happens they could stop it.
"See I knew you are a coward." He then step forward and got into a fighting stance he said, "Come on lets go if you can beat me I'll give you 1 gold coin."
This guy isn't going away and a gold coin wouldn't hurt anything. "Sure let's fight but if I beat you don't aggravate me anymore."
"Alright I agree" He was smiling and then he pulled water out the Elemental crystal. I went over and pulled Earth out of a Crystal too.
We both got into our fighting stance then he tries to attack my ankle with a water whip. I use the Earth to block his attack. I reciprocate by throwing Earth pellets to block his view. I then make a spear and hurl it towards his left thigh. He used water to make a wave to catch the Earth pellets. Next the spear hit his water wave going through it, the spear was going right for his thigh but it was off course. It still cut through a portion of the side of his leg.
"OWWWWW! AHHHHH!" He fell down onto the ground holding his leg. The teacher came over looked at me and took him to the Nurse's office. When he came back he told me to go get my rank tested and put it on my robe then left. I guess I might as well go see then, in the office there was the lady she looked at me then stood up.
"I need to get my rank tested please" She nodded her head quickly.
"Yes, sir all you have to do is go into this machine it'll test your level." She seemed nervous around me but I guess that cant be helped. The machine looked like a capsule, it was futuristic looking the outside sleek metal and a panel of some sorts displaying numbers and letters for your level. I step inside and felt a light pressure pressing in on me then it got heavier and heavier until the machine stopped. I step outside then look at the screen it says E-2 The Lady gave me a patch that says E-2 and I put it onto my robe the patch was sucked into it, now on the back of robe it says Dean rank E-2.
"Every month come back to get your rank tested also there is a leaderboard in the training room with all the ranks." I leave the office and go back to the training area, I notice that now people are less arrogant or annoying around me. I train in peace after that I head to the library to study.
