"Shh... Don't talk." The young boy had been sitting for less than twenty minutes and was already restless, but Sheng Ning stopped him just as he moved, "The fish is about to take the bait."
"Okay." The little guy obediently sat on the ground, still and fully focused on watching the water's surface.
Less than ten minutes later, from the first fish biting to successfully being reeled in, Sheng Ning seemed to be on a roll as fish after fish took the bait. They were all types like carp and bream, not too big, some weighing a few ounces and some over a pound.
The young boy held the bucket and watched the fish swim around inside, grinning so wide it almost seemed silly.
"Mom, Mom, you're amazing." He said, not forgetting to smugly lift his chin toward Xu Qigang.
In more than an hour, the mother and son successfully caught over a dozen fish.
"Alright! Let's get ready to head home!" Sheng Ning noted that the sky was getting dark, packed up the fishing rod, and left with a full bucket.
