The wind in the garden carried a fresh fragrance. Leaves fell to the ground, emitting a "squeak" sound when stepped on.
Sometimes Jasmine Yale would chat briefly with the elderly, feeling quite happy.
The pain in her stomach had disappeared, and she didn't plan to stay in the hospital any longer. She would pack up and leave in the afternoon.
Feeling tired, a thin layer of sweat formed on her nose. She sat on a bench, resting her chin in her hand, watching the people walking by.
Time suddenly seemed to slow down.
Maybe it was the drowsiness from pregnancy, or perhaps the garden's moderate temperature, or the severe lack of sleep from the previous day. After sitting for a while, she started to nod off.
She was both tired and sleepy.
"Miss, if you want to sleep, you can go to the lounge. You might catch a cold outside." She didn't know how long had passed when an elderly person kindly shook her arm to remind her.
Jasmine woke up, still groggy and very sleepy.
