POV: Shawn Valon
Location: Kaiba Dome – Virtual Turbo Track
Speed Counter: 2 / 12
Silent as ever, the Vagabond drew his card.
Like before, without saying a word, he made his move in a burst of crimson flames that exploded beside his Duel Runner.
Flare Resonator
Attribute: Fire
Level: 3
Fiend / Tuner / Effect
ATK: 300
DEF: 1300
A small demonic fiend wreathed in fire materialized, its body flickering like a living torch.
The moment it hit the field, the air around them ignited. A massive flaming wolf burst into existence beside it, eyes glowing with savage hunger.
Red Warg
Attribute: Fire
Level: 6
Fiend / Effect
ATK: 1400 - 700 = 700
DEF: 1300
Both monsters glowed with dark red energy as they raced alongside Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend.
The Vagabond revved the engine of his duel runner, which acted like a signal as both monsters moved.
Flare Resonator became three spinning green rings that locked into place around Red Warg; the flaming wolf became holographic before dissolving into six stars.
"Another synchro summon, this isn't good," I said to myself as a violent pillar of fire erupted across the track, shaking the entire Kaiba Dome. The heat was so intense that I instinctively leaned away, causing my bike to drifty slighty.
But that wasn't even the end of it, as a ferocious crimson dragon with blazing wings and molten claws came roaring out of the pillar of energy, and each flap of its wings sent hot air in all directions.
Hot Red Dragon Archfiend
Attribute: Dark
Level: 8
Dragon/ Synchro / Effect
ATK: 3000 + 300 = 3300
DEF: 2000
Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend and Hot Red Dragon Archfiend now flew side-by-side like twin demons of destruction, both glared down at me, their gazes felt like having the sun's attention specifically on me.
The Vagabond pointed, and both dragons moved obidantly answering the silent command.
"Listen, I don't know how good your math is, but neither of your dragons is stronger than Junk Warrior!" I declared, watching as both dragons charged towards Junk Warrior, who flew forward with his fist glowing with power.

Junk Warrior
ATK: 3500
The vagabond didn't speak, but I could swear I saw a smirk on his face as I watched one of his face-downs suddenly flip up, revealing a trap card I immediately recognized and cursed under my breath.
Red Cocoon
Trap card
Target 1 Dragon-Type Synchro Monster you control; equip this card to it. While it is battling an opponent's monster, until the end of the Damage Step, negate the effects of all face-up monsters your opponent controls. During the End Phase, if this card is in the Graveyard because it was sent there this turn: You can target 1 "Red Dragon Archfiend" in your Graveyard; Special Summon it.
Hot Red Dragon Archfiend's already hot aura erupted, causing Junk Warrior to halt his charge and back away as the power in his fist dimmed and returned to normal.
Junk Warrior
ATK: 3500 = 2300
In a deafening roar, Hot Red Dragon Archfiend unleashed a spiraling inferno from his open maw. Junk Warrior crossed its arms, the turbines screaming as it tried to hold its ground.
But the difference in power was too great.
In a large explosion that almost made me lose control of my Duel Runner, Junk Warrior exploded into particles of light.

I gritted my teeth as the remaining energy of the attack hit me like a slap to the face, but I knew I wasn't out of the frying pan yet as I saw Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend open its own maw scarlet red fire gathering in its throat.
"Trap activate!" I shouted desperately. "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow!"
As the massive black dragon roared and unleashed a devastating crimson fire strat at me, a rusty scarecrow shot up, blocking the blast at the last second.
Scrap-Iron Scarecrow
Trap Card
When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Target the attacking monster; negate the attack, also, after that, Set this card face-down instead of sending it to the GY.
The attack bounced back harmlessly, and the rusty scarecrow disappeared as the trap reset back to face down position.
The Vagabond said nothing. He simply set one more card and ended his turn, but not without taking 1000 damage from the red screen's own trap card's effect.

Turn 3 — Shawn
Speed Counter: 1 / 12
'Okay… stay calm. This is still winnable,' I thought to myself, but a part of me didn't believe it as two massive dragons glared down at me.
"I draw!" I looked at the card and grinned fiercely. "First, I summon my furry friend Quillbolt Hedgehog!" I declared as the small furry hedgehog appeared in a flash of light with nuts and bolts for jutting out of its back.

"But he's not sticking around for long since I tribute Quillbolt Hedgehog to special summon back to the field Stardust Synchron!"
The Furry hedgehog disappeared and was replaced with the familiar mini Stardust Dragon robot.

ATK: 1500
DEF: 1000
"But im not done, my little Dragon lets me add a card to my hand, and because he was special summoned to the field, I can special summon another monster!" I shouted out as my friend from my graveyard, a shining light, erupted.
From that light, a woman descended from her back, dracoic wings sprouted, and on her head flowed long pink hair with horns curved back in the shape of a crown with a dress that hugged her figure in the style obviously inspired by the Stardust Dragon.

As both monsters appered i noticed a shift in both red dragons' body language. It was subtle, so subtle that most would miss it if they didn't know that these monsters weren't actual living creatures.
But I did the red dragons, their auras of superiority subtly shifted to anticipation as if they could sense what was coming, and maybe they could, but that only made my thundering heart beat faster.
"Next, I activate the spell card, Arrive of light!"
Arrive in Light
Continuous Spell
When this card is activated: Place 1 Level 1 Dragon monster from your hand or Deck on top of the Deck. Neither player can return "Stardust Dragon", or a Synchro Monster that lists "Stardust Dragon" in its text, from the field to the Extra Deck. If a Synchro Monster(s) is Special Summoned (except during the Damage Step): You can apply 1 of these effects, but you cannot apply that same effect of "Arrive in Light" again this turn.
●Draw 1 card.
●Special Summon 1 Tuner from your hand.
"LET'S TAKE THIS DUEL INTO OVERDRIVE!" I roared, and despite having only one speed counter, I revved my engine and sped past the vagabond as both my monsters began to synchro summon.
From the pillar of white light came one of the most iconic dragons in all of Yu-Gi-Oh, a dragon so beautiful that the only way to describe it was as a living comet.
Stardust Dragon
Attribute: Wind

ATK: 2500
DEF: 2000
"LET'S REV IT UP! STARDUST DRAGON!"
Stardust dragon roared in response, the air actually shuddering visibly from the force.
Both red dragons roared back in challenge.
All three dragons glared at each other, their opposing auras clashing violently.
"Im not finished, I activate my continuous spell Arrive of light and draw a card and special summon two monsters from my hand!"
Two smaller dragons flew beside Stardust Dragon, both the complet opposite of each other. One was almost as majestic as Stardust, while the other looked like it was made of putrid mud.

The thundering in my heart finally reached its peak. I felt my body shaking with energy as words flowed from my mouth as I began to chant, as all three of my dragons flew into the sky so fast that a sonic boom tore through the arena.
"The shine of clustering stars will illuminate a new miracle! Become the path its light shines upon!" I began as the sky above became full of shooting stars that seemed to fall like raindrops. "I harness all the power of the stars, I channel all the might of the dragons, I Synchro Summon the Majestic Star Dragon!"
From the shower, shooting stars one fell like with such power and speed that the vibrations of its arrival could be felt through my entire body.
Majestic Star Dragon
Attribute: Wind

Dragon/Synchro/Effect
ATK: 3800
DEF: 3000
I looked up at Majestic star dragon, and as our eyes met for a heart beat everythang froze as all the energy I felt gathering inside me came together to form a connection between me and this monster.
The system and I felt something inside me changed, and every fiber of my being wanted to look, but just before the connection shattered, I heard a single word.
'WIN'
"This duel is over! I activate Majestic Star Dragon's effect, which can target any monster and copy its effect, and also causes your monster to lose its effect until the end phase, and I choose Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend, go Sublimation drain!"
Majestic Star Dragon spread its wings wide, and energy drained from Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend; its once powerful flames now went out completely.
"Now, Majestic Star Dragon activate your new effect, which, if you forgot, is now the ability to destroy as many other Special Summoned Effect Monsters on the field as possible with ATK less than or equal to this card's, then inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each monster destroyed."
Majestic Star Dragon spread its wings and brought them together in creating a wave of energy that caused both red dragons to shatter.
Vagabond LP: 3000 → 2000
"This is the final lap! Go Majestic star Dragon shooting star rush!" I roared as Majestic star dragon. I compressed its wings and flew towards the vagabond energy swirling around it, making it look like a comet.
The impact was devastating as the entire arena went white in my vision.
Vagabond LP: 2000 → 0
DUEL END
Winner: Shawn Valon
I blinked once... twice... three times, then finally looked around to find myself back where I had driven into the portal, yet this time I was facing the mansion as I had just returned from a leisurely drive.
But the pounding ache through my lower body told me exactly that I was doing anything but leisurely driving.
As I parked the Duel runner, I could see the system was waiting to bombard me with notifications, but I was so tired, not just mentally but physically, that I forced the system to the back of my mind as I reached for the doorknob.
"No wonder Duelists like Yusei, Jack Atles, and Crow were so physically fit, my legs feel like jelly," I said to myself as I reached for the doorknob
Only for the door to suddenly be yanked open, and in front of me stood Faclica Hardy, smiling warmly, with emerald eyes staring at me mischievously.
"Hey, boss~" she purred. "Wanna help me on a heist?"
