Some of the ministers present were already well aware of why the Emperor had summoned Bai Xifeng to the palace today in the first place. Others had merely heard vague rumours that Great General Bai's daughter had recently returned to the Capital after awakening as a surprisingly talented cultivator.
However, seeing this terrifying, high-tier magical beast obeying her every whim with their own eyes gave them a far starker, far more frightening understanding of just how wildly different the current Bai Xifeng was from the pathetic rumours of her past.
Finally, the imperial soldier who had gone inside to deliver the message hurried back out, breathing heavily.
"Young Lady Bai, His Majesty has granted you permission to enter." The soldier announced respectfully. "However, your contracted beast cannot set foot on the inner palace grounds. We ask that you please dismiss it back into your contracted beast space."
