Meiyiang couldn't stop crying even after Paxter and Moyu brought her to safety inside the leopard kingdom.
Her savior have died, and the thought that someone sacrificed their own life for hers was a lot to process.
She had been too weak to do anything to prevent her death and felt extremely frustrated with her own powerlessness.
Paxter and Moyu were looking at her with concern in their eyes. The two of them had finally put their possessive male instincts aside, and were willing to share Meiyiang, as long as she was safe.
Meiyiang noticed their stares, and realized that she had been selfish. How could she put them in danger for her own sake? She couldn't allow that to happen ever again. She couldn't lose anyone else.
"Paxter, Moyu," she called out to the two males.
"Yes?" they replied in unison, both of them eager to do whatever they could to help her.
"Please, promise me that you will keep each other safe," she said.
"We promise," they responded.
