It was end of the month, Jack and Fang are sparring to increase their strength. Fang asked him to use arrows on him. Jack made a lightning arrows, it has a speed of electricity in it. He aimed at Fang's chest, stomach, knee at a time.
He used advanced Observation haki to avoid them. He would be burnt to crisp if he didn't. Jack took his sword to attack. He strike him with lightning attacks frequently. Fang dodged his attacks with ease.
None of the Jack attack damaged Fang. He is displeased with it. Fang let out a laugh seeing his face. Jack smiled and stroked him again with more speed and strength. He is holding back for a while for Fang to get strong.
Fang had a bad promotion when he saw Jack's smile. His arms got heavy with every strike he blocked from Jack even with haki. Jack way with sword is crude. He only know basic sword skill and like to roll in the air with swords hitting Fang.
After some time Fang ran out of haki. His haki would still be there if Jack didn't use conqueror haki to suppress him every time he strike. Fang had to use his own haki to withstand it.
Jack got some cuts from Fang but was instantly healed. He can still fight for a half day. " Come on ", Fang said. Jack like his will to get strong, he always push himself which Jack like a lot. So, he made a lightning spear of 5m length and shot at him.
Fang saw the spear aiming at his stomach. His cannot coat the sword with haki but want to challenge it, not to avoid it. Before learning haki, he always relay on sword. So, he has full trust in his sword.
At this moment, Fang vision changed, a one meter circle formed around him. He saw the spear and cut it into half, which created two large craters on the ground far away from him.
Fang turned his head to see them as he couldn't cut a lightning. Upon seeing it, his heat is filled with joy. He is now a step away from his dream to fulfill his dream.
When he saw Jack dumbfounded face, he laughed before falling off. Jack catches him and teleport to their base for Fang to rest. After that, Jack tried to process the earlier incident.
He know people who can cut steel, fire and air. But it was first to see someone cut lightning. Even with haki, they can't cut lightning as it will pass through sword first. And Fang cut it casually like a stone with one hand.
If his guess is correct, Fang has achieved next level of sword master, Grandmaster swordsman. Fang took his time to wake up, so he went to train Ace and Luffy which is a torture to them.
" You said today was off ", Luffy still don't like the training. " Ya, we will play today ", Ace said as he agreed with Luffy. " OK, go and play today ", Jack told them and they laughed. He disappeared from that place.
Fang got up from his bed after few hours. When he woke up to see his room, he was gloomy and thought of it dream. But when Jack asked about it, Fang smiled in joy.
" It is next level of sword master ", Fang said. "Grand master swordsman ", Jack interrupt him. Fang nods with a smile. He explained about it. Those who are grand master can have their domain where they can cut anything like Fang did. He has 1m as domain and it will increase with constant effort.
" It means you can cut me even if I am a lightning ", Jack asked. " Yes, also other logia users too ", Fang replied. Jack made a bittersweet smile. He was sad because his only advantage is waste with Fang and happy because he could increase his strength and his friend power increase too.
" Now, I am one step away from my dream ", Fang clenched his fist. " Then you need a fellow grand master ", Jack said. " We don't know one ", Fang. " I know someone, but you need to convince him ", Fang agreed with Jack request.
