The lenses in VR-headsets are often absrudly dedicate. So delicate that using most chemicals and even basic things such as soap would ruin them (or more specifically the special coating on them).
Using a micro fiber cloth is essentially mandatory, however it's still not a safe option since even the tiniest bit of debris will cause scratches.
