Pokemon: The broken

Mason died with nothing to show for it. No victory. No closure. Just failure, regret, and the bitter realization that his life ended before it meant anything. Death should have been the end. Instead, he wakes in a place that isn’t quite nothing and isn’t quite heaven. There, he meets something that calls itself God. There are no comforting words. No promises of redemption. Only a choice, or something that feels like one. Before he can be sent into his next life, Mason is made to spin a wheel. Not once. Again and again. Each turn decides a piece of what he will become, but nothing comes freely. Every gain carries a weight. Every advantage takes something in return. The rules are never fully explained, and the meaning behind each result is only understood when it’s too late to change it. When it ends, he is sent to Terra. A world vast beyond anything he has known, where strength decides everything and weakness is not forgiven. What Mason receives there does not seem like much at first, just a small edge, something easy to overlook, but its consequences run deeper than he understands. Because in Terra, nothing stays small. And whatever he was given came at a cost he has not yet realized. Mason does not get a second chance. He gets a different one. And this time, failure will not be quiet.
