In the Magic City of Äußerst, where the Continental Magic Association governs the world of magic, lives an unusual boy.
Shamrock.
Taken in by the legendary elf mage Serie when he was only six years old, Shamrock grew up surrounded by the greatest mages in the world. Yet there is one problem.
He cannot use magic.
Despite possessing an enormous amount of mana, Shamrock remains nothing more than a swordsman in a city ruled by mages. While others study spells and magical theory, he trains relentlessly with the blade, dreaming of one day standing on the battlefield against demons.
But Serie refuses to let him leave.
To her, the Northern Lands are a graveyard for the weak.
To Shamrock, they are where he must go.
So one night, the stubborn thirteen-year-old runs away from the Magic City, determined to carve his own legend and prove that even without magic, he can stand against the enemies of humanity.
Unfortunately for him…
The world outside the city is far more dangerous than he imagined.
Demons still walk the land.
Powerful mages roam the continent.
And the echoes of the Demon King’s army have begun to stir once more.
